Today, had my first experience of health care delivered in this way. Not from my GP, but from Spire Healthcare, who will be admitting me as an NHS patient.

Possible fly in the ointment though: I have appointment with vascular surgeon on Monday, if I end up having the surgery this Summer, then it will all roll back yet another year.
